INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FUEL FACILITIES

Between 1987 and 1992, I was part of a team that provided Shell with consultancy services for three projects at Kai Tak International Airport and Chek Lap Kok. My involvement with the design of the new terminal was with the laying of the underwater pipeline, included liaison gave Authorities and with the cost estimates

Two major marine projects involving the construction of seawalls, the dredging of their foundations, improving the ground conditions and large areas of reclamation required were the subject of major claims by the relevant contractors. Assessment of these claims against the actual and predicted conditions and the contract requirements were made and reported on as well as the potential liabilities.
